Deva RD 62 stems from a development journey built on thirty years of experience and the analysis of the finest Miche wheels. It is our first wheel featuring Vonoa® carbon spokes, designed to exceed the highest standards of performance, efficiency and reliability.
Deva RD 62 was developed according to the Miche Formula — an engineering protocol that integrates instrumented measurements, high-resolution CFD simulations, and dedicated wind tunnel sessions to validate every design choice. This approach is driven by targeted work on aerodynamics and material behaviour, with a single objective: to create the fastest and lightest Miche wheel yet.
The idea behind the Deva RD 62 rims is to deliver optimal aerodydamic efficiency, stiffness and weight. The T700/T800/T1000 carbon structure with a matte UD finish and a 23 mm tubeless-ready internal rim width delivers a smooth, stable and comfortable interface, while the hook ensures maximum safety.
The two differentiated-profile configurations — 52 mm (front 52×33 mm, rear 52×31 mm) and 62 mm (front 62×31 mm, rear 62×30 mm) — are engineered to combine control, smoothness and aerodynamic performance. The wider front profiles minimise airflow resistance, while the slimmer rear profiles deliver the optimal trade-off between weight reduction and aerodynamic efficiency, enhancing performance in all riding conditions.
The result is a responsive, stiff and exceptionally precise rim.
For the first time in its history, Miche has adopted Vonoa® carbon spokes — a technological step that elevates the wheel to a new level of lightness and stiffness.
Their aerodynamic geometry, with a 4×1 mm cross-section profile, works in seamless continuity with the rim due to the hidden nipples integrated directly into the rim itself. The elimination of exposed elements reduces turbulence in this area and helps optimise overall drag.
In collaboration with CeramicSpeed, Miche has adopted double-sealed ceramic bearings, optimising every parameter that influences rolling performance — from seal quality to balls and tracks, through to manufacturing consistency, tolerances and lubricant characteristics (content and viscosity).
Since the rolling resistance of a bearing depends on numerous factors — seals, balls, races, cages, and manufacturing precision — we worked with one of the leading manufacturers in the sector to monitor every variable and achieve the best possible solution in terms of smoothness, efficiency and durability.
Finally, the adjustment locknut on the rear hub allows fine tuning of the hub, ensuring long-term precision and peak performance over time.
