General description of the service group

At Biondo Bike Bicycle Shop, we have been dealing with the issue of accident reports for the insurance sector since 1999. We try to minimize the damage to the owner of the bicycle by providing an expert opinion on accident-damaged bicycles and determining their loss of value.

The process of the service is simple:

• In the first step, we visually inspect the damaged bicycle, record all its data, examine the damage and its extent, and record what we see using photographic and manual means. Only in the case of Pinarello and Wilier bicycles purchased from us - if necessary - for the price determined at the time, we will send the damaged frameset to the manufacturer to be examined with their X-ray device for possible damage to the carbon fibers and the structure itself. If we confidently establish that the use of the bicycle is a danger to you and the public, this is of course not necessary.
• The second step is the recording of the owner's data, this is done by e-mail, so the owner of the damaged bicycle needs to send us the requested personal data and a precise description of the circumstances of the accident.
• The third step, the preparation of the expert opinion itself, is the determination of the extent of the damage and the type of damage caused to the bicycle in question. We provide expert opinions on all types of bicycles.

The preparation of the accident report can take 2-4 working days. The price of the service is HUF 49,000. Summarized, here are the most important arguments for why you should choose us if you want to use this service, as well as the most important actions that are essential in such a case.

• We wish all our dear customers that it is not necessary, but unfortunately, compensation for bicycles that have suffered road accidents is an increasingly common request. This is thanks to the significant increase in the number of vehicles, the saturation of the roads, and the irregular traffic of inattentive cyclists and motorists.
  
• It is better to set off prepared. Everyone is recommended to put an ID card or a copy of it with a plastic coating in their pocket, so that possible getting wet does not cause problems.
  
• If we are involved in an accident, note down the license plate number of the vehicle that caused the damage, if we are in a state of shock this is of course more difficult, but at least try to find witnesses in this case.
  
• Make a note of where the incident took place, main road number, name of the locality, possibly a milestone.
  
• In less serious cases, it may be enough if we agree with the driver that the damage to our bicycle and clothing will be covered by the car insurance.
  
• In serious cases, of course, call the police and/or an ambulance. This should not even arise as a question in the case of wading with abandon!
  
• The police always take a report on the accident, which we will also refer to in the insurance report.
  
• Please bring the bicycle and other items damaged in the accident to our store. We thoroughly examine them, and if necessary for evaluation, we send them to the manufacturer himself to check with their X-ray device for possible damage and breakage of the carbon fibers. If we confidently establish that the use of the bicycle is a danger to you and the public, this is not necessary.
  
• After this, the carefully inspected bicycle can be taken home, or it may have to be brought back if an employee of the insurance company wants to examine it here, while asking questions to us, who prepared the insurance expert opinion for our client. This usually takes 2-4 working days.
• It is not easy to determine the value of a bicycle that is a few years old compared to the price determined at the time of purchase. To compare the price of some components then and now. If the current product is no longer available, replace it with a product of nearly the same quality.
  
• Your insurer chooses, but there are few rejected applications, in the event that we write the expert opinion. In most cases, depending on the extent of the damage, our customers will get back the price of the damaged bicycle frame or parts, clothes, helmets from the insurance company.
  
• The price of the insurance expert opinion prepared by us is HUF 49,000.
  
• For those customers who choose us after paying the insurance and buy their next bicycle from us, we will deduct the price of the expert opinion from the price of the future bicycle, if the order / purchase takes place within 14 calendar days of receiving the expert opinion.
