MOST IMPORTANT: WHAT MATERIAL IS IT MADE OF?
Carbon fiber fabrics can be grouped in two ways. We can categorize by tissue density and their types. There are classic crochet fabrics (e.g. 1K, 3K, 12K) and unidirectional fabrics.
The other grouping aspect is whether a carbon fiber fabric has high modulus, strong or high resistance. The former are very rigid and lightweight, the latter are extremely resistant and flexible. A lightweight, rigid and competitive frame cannot be built without the dominant use of the former! Without the latter, however, there is no frame production.
Pinarello works exclusively with TorayCa, Toray's premium fabric division, using fabrics manufactured by them and jointly conceived at all levels.
